RESEARCH ON LEARNING MODALITIES: A BIBLIOMETRIC STUDY OF GLOBAL SCHOLARSHIP (2001–2023)

Abstract

This research paper aims to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis on the topics of visual learning, aural learning, verbal learning, physical learning, logical learning, and social learning. The analysis covers the period from 2001 to 2023 and involves data retrieved from the Web of Science (Core Collections) database on 29-10-2023, and 3560 published documents have been extracted. An analysis has been made using Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, ScientoPy, and MS Excel. The study analysis parameters include keyword analysis, authorship patterns, citation analysis, and geographical analysis. Analyzed the processed data to interpret trends, emerging topics, and influential factors within the domain of visual learning, aural learning, verbal learning, physical learning, logical learning, and social learning. The study findings reveal that the highest publication year is 2021, and also the highest citation year as well. The highest subjects of the published years have been reported as psychology, computer science, and education & educational research. The top country of the published research documents has been reported as the United Kingdom, the United States as the top productive country, and the top publication sources named as Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology. Social learning has been found as a top co-occurrence keyword and an author keyword as well.
