Abstract

Taxila is an archaelogical city of the Punjab of Archaeological in the District of Rawalpindi, big store city of archaeological and historical evidence with its Cultural, Historical, and Religious importance evidence in the form of significant and major remains to the Twin city of Islamabad Capital of Pakistan close near capital city Islamabad. Taxila ruins are the national heritage of Pakistan and it is one of our six world heritage. Taxila is the land of Buddhists of olden times. The high of Buddhist Monuments, Stupas, Monasteries and Temples are also stand like a monarch and these are walls extended entering in all over the Taxila land to at least 30 kilometer like command. Political History Taxila prides itself on being a most history-rich city, for it was the most advanced city in pre-Christ era and has seen many golden periods and invaders / conquerors so countless people had to visit taxila. Throughout the centuries Taxila had been subjected to numerous invasions, particularly the stage of great devastation being the Greco-Iron Invasion from 6th century B.C. to 5th century A.D. when the Greeks ruled the sub-continent, from the time of Alexander the Great till the defeat of the Greek rule by the hand of the White Huns. In this article I discussed the golden age of old taxila under its Great Kingdoms and multiple invasions. Historically, Taxila was known as the center of the Buddhist civilization and was the hub of the political and economic activities during the old days.
