SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAINS AND CARBON CREDITS: PATHWAYS TO GREEN BUSINESS GROWTH

Abstract

Sustainability is steadily gaining momentum in Pakistan as both organizations and the government increasingly recognize the significance of green business practices. This paper reviews the current state of green business in the country, with particular emphasis on renewable energy, waste management, sustainable agriculture, and corporate sustainability initiatives. Despite these advancements, several challenges persist, including financial constraints, regulatory gaps, and limited awareness of green technologies. Examines the role of government support, collaboration with the international community, and growing consumer interest in sustainable business models. Addressing these challenges and capitalizing on emerging opportunities could enable Pakistan to position itself as a regional leader in sustainable supply chains and carbon credit-driven business growth.
