As the founder of Pakistan Jinnah's views on the role of religion in the state affairs has been the subject of extensive scholarly debate. While some people argued that he wanted a secular Pakistan, backed on his speeches advocating for religious freedom and a separation between religion and state, others argued that Jinnah’s emphasis on Islamic values indicates a Pakistan rooted in Islamic principles. The research helps to enhance the broader understanding `of Jinnah's influence on Pakistan's national identity and provides some understanding on the complicated link between religion and politics in South Asia.
