This research article seeks to analyze the Muhammad Ali Jinnah's vision of Pakistan, by analyzing the both religious and secular elements within his ideology. As the founder of Pakistan Jinnah's views on the role of religion in the state affairs has been the subject of extensive scholarly debate. While some people argued that he wanted a secular Pakistan, backed on his speeches advocating for religious freedom and a separation between religion and state, others argued that Jinnah’s emphasis on Islamic values indicates a Pakistan rooted in Islamic principles. The research helps to enhance the broader understanding `of Jinnah's influence on Pakistan's national identity and provides some understanding on the complicated link between religion and politics in South Asia.
