This study examines the impact of social media usage on sleep disturbance among university students. Data were collected from 210 students of UMT Sialkot using a structured questionnaire. Findings reveal that excessive and irregular social media use, especially before bedtime, is associated with delayed sleep, reduced sleep duration, and poor sleep quality. Psychological factors such as anxiety, stress, and overthinking further exacerbate sleep disturbance. Correlation and regression analyses confirm significant positive relationships between social media usage, psychological stressors, and sleep disruption. The study highlights the need for responsible social media use to maintain healthy sleep patterns and mental well-being among youth.
